Recipe for Healing a Broken Heart

Picture
Ingredients:
• heart
• tub of tears
• handful of sacred sage
• flames
• one poetry book
• subscription to Spotify
Directions:
1. crack heart in two and place in the tub.
2. fill tub with hot water, tears + handful of sacred sage, saving some for two step process below:
  i. light part of remaining sage on fire. smudge away any residual burning desire.
ii. pour boiling water over last little bits of sage. this is for drowning out the parts your spirit needs cleansing. put aside for step 5.
3. place yourself in steamy tub of sacred sadness’
4. begin to read all of the saddest verses of pablo neruda, while listening to personally curated playlist on Spotify titled ‘it will all be ok'.
5. drink steeped sage while steeping in steeped sage.
6. sweat a lot. sing a lot. cry a lot. continue to steep in all the sacred sadness.
7. get out of the tub, pull the plug and watch allll of it go down the drain.
8. dry off the sacred sadness and realize just how incredibly grateful you are to have experienced love so deeply. what a gift it is.
Tasting Notes:
we have all been gifted this unique experience called life and i truly believe... love is the best medicine. regardless of how it stirs in you. to love is to be
vulnerable, to be courageous, to be human.

and although love can swell in your heart it can also hurt too... but i promise, there is so much life in that. how lucky are we to know the pain of a broken heart. what a gift it is to have loved so greatly it hurts.

I like to think of myself as an alien. Someone who is only visiting this curious rock and during my time here on this earthly plane, I have made it a quest to share and experience as much as possible.
My mission, my dharma, my purpose is to create space. Whether that is in healing, in nature, between the inhales and the exhales, or on these social platforms.
It is my belief that we are all so intricately placed here to learn, and at times unlearn, what it means to be human, to love and be loved, all while appreciating this beautiful planet we call home!
